Interview transcript

We read on the internet that mosquitoes hate electronic music. Very interesting. Mr. Vladimirescu, is it myth or fact?

Now it depends on electronic music. It depends very much on the frequency at which the sounds emitted by those making electronic music interfere with mosquitoes, their presence. What can I tell you?! I think I’ve seen a lot of commercials on TV for “bugs repellent” that works on ultrasound. So, if the electronic music component contains ultrasound, then they will certainly act as factors to keep mosquitoes away from the area. But not all electronic music has ultrasound components. So… what can I tell you? The answer is half yes, half no.

It depends.

It depends. It depends on who performs electronic music and how.
