European project “Digitization of ADDDDDDB”

The digital transformation project of the Bucharest Intercommunal Development Association for Pest Control, Pest Control and Disinfection (ADIDDDB) is an ambitious and innovative initiative aimed at modernizing and streamlining the monitoring and control processes of vectors such as mosquitoes and rats through the use of advanced digital technologies.

This digital transformation will make a significant contribution to increasing rapid response capacity, improving administrative efficiency and ensuring a healthy environment for the population of Bucharest and its adjacent municipalities. The project will implement modern solutions for real-time monitoring, digital data management and increased accessibility of services to citizens, with a particular focus on protecting public health and preventing epidemiological risks.

The project includes:

  • Creation of a Digital Monitoring System: an integrated monitoring and signaling system will be created with smart traps that allows both public institutions and citizens to track in real time the degree of infestation with mosquito populations. The system involves the placement of mosquito population monitoring devices in key areas of the monitored area and the collection of data in a common database, which will increase monitoring capacity and reduce the intervention time for treatments to control this vector.
  • Development of a platform for the generation and management of digital work receipts: the platform aims to make services accessible to beneficiaries remotely, thus contributing to increasing the administrative efficiency and effectiveness of the public service of pest control, disinsectisation and disinfection(DDD). Currently, the verification of work orders is done manually, using physical documents. The implementation of this platform will allow the complete digitalization of the process. The project also includes the development and operationalization of a software for the optimization of the Monthly Work Plan and the Operating Program.
  • Increasing the level of accessibility of digital services provided to vulnerable people: adapting the website for use by blind people – rendering website content with voice and creating pages (profiles) to inform the population on social networks.

The ADIDDDB Digital Transformation Project is an essential step in modernizing and streamlining the pest control, pest control and disinfection services in Bucharest. By implementing a digital platform for managing work orders and optimizing work plans, the project will significantly improve the capacity for intervention and vector monitoring. Digitalization of processes will reduce response time, save resources and ensure better information and protection of the population. Overall, this project contributes to public health and efficient management of municipal resources.

The project is being analyzed and verified by the Managing Authority of the Ministry of Investments and European Projects.
